Seamless Stainless Steel Pipe

Stainless steel seamless pipe is supplied for pressure piping, process lines and high-temperature or corrosive service where the ordered pipe specification controls chemistry, mechanical properties, heat treatment, dimensions and testing. Available range: outside diameter 6–1016 mm and wall thickness 0.5–65 mm. Select the grade and governing standard together; ASTM A312/ASME SA312 applies to many austenitic stainless pipe grades, while nickel alloys and special grades may require a different specification. State the standard edition, size, schedule or wall, length, finish, NDT and EN 10204 document requirement in the RFQ.

Pipe vs tube

Seamless pipe is ordered by nominal pipe size (NPS) and schedule for pressure piping, process lines and high-temperature service. Seamless tube is ordered by exact outside diameter and wall thickness with tighter dimensional precision for heat exchangers, boilers and instrumentation lines. For heat-transfer or precision service, view the Seamless Stainless Steel Tube category.

RFQ Checklist

Include the following in your request for quotation so the offer states the ordered standard, edition and test basis:

  • Grade and UNS designation
  • Governing standard and edition (for example ASTM A312-25 / ASME SA312)
  • Outside diameter
  • Wall thickness (or schedule for pipe)
  • Length: fixed, random or mill lengths
  • Quantity and delivery schedule
  • Surface finish: pickled, annealed or polished
  • NDT: hydrostatic, eddy-current or ultrasonic testing
  • Certification documents: EN 10204 3.1 or 3.2
