Seamless Nickel and Nickel Alloy Pipes
Introduction
Compare seamless pipes in Nickel 200, Nickel 201, Alloy 20 and Alloy 120 by material grade, service requirements and product specification. These products serve different caustic, acid-handling and elevated-temperature applications. The grade, specification and operating conditions must be considered together; “nickel pipe” alone is not a complete purchasing description.
Wenzhou Xinzhe Tech Co., Ltd. is a China-based stockist and supplier. Dimensions, delivery condition, inspection documents and delivery terms are confirmed for the actual enquiry.

Pipe and heat-exchanger tube requirements
Pipe enquiries normally identify NPS and schedule or actual OD and wall thickness. Condenser and heat-exchanger tube enquiries require OD, wall thickness, average or minimum wall basis, and length. ASTM B161 covers nickel pipe and tube; ASTM B163 is a dedicated condenser and heat-exchanger tube specification. See our Nickel 200 seamless tube page for the separate heat-exchanger tube procurement case.
Specification status and ordering requirements
ASTM B729-20 was withdrawn in 2026 with no replacement listed by ASTM. If an Alloy 20 enquiry references this historical specification, the acceptance basis must be reviewed and explicitly agreed. Do not assume that a grade or a historic standard reference establishes current code compliance.
Send the grade and UNS designation, product specification and edition, dimensions, length, quantity, delivery condition, end finish, inspection document type and delivery destination. Include the service medium, concentration, temperature and pressure where material selection needs review. Minimum order quantity, availability and lead time are confirmed at quotation.
Frequently asked questions
Are all products in this category commercially pure nickel?
No. Nickel 200 and Nickel 201 are commercially pure nickel grades. Alloy 20 and Alloy 120 are alloyed materials with different service and specification requirements.
Which grade is suitable for my service?
Provide the medium, concentration, contaminants, operating temperature, pressure and required life. Grade selection must be assessed against these conditions and the applicable engineering requirements.
Can I request certification and additional inspection?
State the required document type, test methods, coverage and acceptance criteria in the enquiry. The quotation must confirm the agreed scope.
